Our Baby Ballet classes are for children aged 2yrs - 4yrs old.
Each class is designed to teach your little one the basic ballet steps whilst developing co-ordination, balance, communication and creativity.
These first classes are designed to inspire children and to help them to take their first steps into the magical world of dance!
Please note: 1 parent/guardian per student must remain in the building for the duration of the class for health & safety purposes.
Lisayne Ballet School has 40 years of experience and takes the tuition of our youngest ballet dancers very seriously. All exercises are carefully planned with their safety being our top priority.
All classes are tailored to the confidence and skill set of the children within the class. Each class introduces a new classical ballet exercise and perfectly prepares the children for their transition into their first RAD class when they are ready to do so (Pre-Primary: aged 5yrs).
During our Baby Ballet classes we also make use of props to encourage children to be creative, whilst having lots of fun at the same time!
Our Baby Ballet classes run during our RAD term time as follows:
Spring Term 2024 (10 week term):
6th January - 9th February / Half Term / 17th February - 22nd March
Mondays (2:00pm - 2:35pm): Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield
Tuesdays (2:00pm - 2:35pm): Dickens Heath, Solihull
Saturdays: Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield
Babies Ballet (2yrs old): 9:00am - 9:35am
Babies Ballet (3yrs old): 9:35am - 10:10am
Babies Ballet (2yrs old): 10:10am - 10:45am
Babies Ballet (3yrs old): 10:45am - 11:20am
All Baby Ballet classes are £4.
We will be including more Baby Ballet classes into the timetable soon, so if these days/times do not work for you please register your interest for a free trial and select a preferred alternative day/time.
Teaches ballet steps in imaginative sequences using Storytelling & Nursery Rhymes. Props such as Magic wands, feathers, Flags & percussion instruments are all part of the learning experience.
This is a more structured class that has set exercises building towards the RAD Pre Primary Class Award (optional exam). There is still a lot of imaginative work and use of Props.

Pupils are taught to demonstrate an understanding of technique and an awareness of musicality & performance in basic movement sequences and dances. Grades 1 & 2 also cover Character dance & Free Movement.
